Beverly (Bev) Winters was born and raised in The Bronx,  New York City. Attended St. John Villa Academy, a private girls Boarding High School, then moved to Mamaroneck, Westchester, New York, while married to Neil Jeffrey Hartmann, where they owned and operated a full-service Camera Store located in Port Chester, New York. Thereafter returning to school to earn several more degrees in Liberal Arts & Psychology at CUNY (City University New York) including St. John’s University, Theatre Arts at the world-renowned American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Manhatten, New York City, Substance Abuse Counseling at Hazeldon, SW, Dallas, Texas, and Advertising Arts & Graphic Design at The Art College of Design in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has worked in various fields over the years, now devoting herself exclusively to Commercial Arts, Fine Arts and Photography for the last twelve years. Bev is also a Life Coach with experience in this field for over 30 years.


In 1980, Beverly attended the Lifespring, Inc. Trainings,  finishing the entire curriculum before becoming employed by the company. Working on and off over the next 21 years, she travelled across the United States in various positions including, Enrollment Manager, City Start-Up, Leadership Trainer and Area Director for the SW Region.


In 1990, Beverly opened up a private practice in the Oak Lawn and Turtle Creek area of Dallas, Texas. as a Psychotherapist where she combined group and individual therapy, affiliate staff status at Grapevine Charter Hospital and AIDS Awareness Public Speaking in  the Dallas Community area.


In 1999, she then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where after completing studies at the Art College of Design thereafter gaining employment for a private advertising agency, the Albuquerque Public School District and the University of New Mexico.


Beverly has also sold and exhibited her wide collection of photography. A lover of travel and studying native cultures she brings her keen eye to the camera creating remarkable and unforgettable images. Used both in the commercial sector, as well as adorning homes and often in gift giving by those who want to give others personalized items of their particular interests.




Combining her multi-focused background and experience, both in corporate and private practice settings, she brings vast emotional, intellectual experience  and  conceptual language to her artwork, designs and marketing skills. Particularly passionate about art forms, art history and American Culture, her works display a variety of subjects, landscapes and sub-cultures. Her work is done is different mediums: oils, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, pantone inks and pen and ink.


Her love of animals is clearly represented in all forms of her artwork and especially in her website designs for animal focused customers. She is also the founder and care-taker of BarkAmerica, a site devoted to the prevention of animal abuse and cruelty, animal maintenance and safe havens, as well as the support of legislative groups and forums in Animal Rights. BarkAmerica brings Art & Design  together with this personal mission in a unique and charitable way, benefitting a range of organizations needing funds.


Drawing from her training in Leadership and Marketing Studies, she has mastered supplying respected and effective branding / Identity, internet exposure through tailor-made websites, as well as successful strategies and campaigns to a varied list of customers and companies: both individual and corporate entities. In addition, she is a writer and has been published in various publications in different fields.


On a personal note, Beverly is a bi-lingual, personable and effective communicator, teacher, and friend who loves both New York City, her hometown, and New Mexico, her adored state of residence. Favorite artists include Artemis Gentileschi, Frieda Kahlo, Jackson Pollack and Georgia O’keefe.
